Before the above date, I had always felt that I am the only one excited to do shopping for our baby who's coming into this world very soon. But, the encounters below proved that my hubby loves our baby as much as the baby's mommy :)
I received information from my friend that a department store near our place has baby stuff on sale. Since then, I had told my husband that we should go check out the stuffs. He claimed that it's too early and we still have about four months until the baby comes, but I insisted on checking them at least.
Finally, we went to the store yesterday. He hesitated in the beginning. When we entered the store, he asked, "Are we buying today?" I said "No, we're just checking out." He said "Okay." I headed straight to the baby section, we first stopped at the clothings, found not many nice ones on sale because they are left over from the Christmas season. Then, we headed to the stroller. We checked them out and saw that there are a couple of them on sale. His first comment was "I wanna buy good stuff for my child." I understood it right away because those that are on sale looked cheap and not new. I didn't like them myself.
After that, we went around, I was excited to find out that there are clothings (nice ones) on a really surprisingly good price. What's more surprising was to find out that my husband was more excited than I am. Now that we are shopping for the baby, I think that made him felt that we really are gonna have a baby coming. He starting saying "I wanna buy this and that" which made me commented "Those are expensive" and he said "I don't mind"
Those small comments of his made just made my day realizing that he would do anything for our baby. It's not the price that counts but his thought of not minding the price over what he wants best.
Another encounter of his feeling revealed to me when he was so excited to show me a couple shopping for a car sit and they have they baby with them. He said that we should have done the same, that bringing our baby to shop. I said "We don't have our baby yet." And he said while rubbing my tummy, "My baby, please come soon, I can't wait to see you."
Now I feel like my life is complete and full of happiness.
The first baby shopping experience was amazing. We had a really good time, and the feeling that we are going to have a baby became so real and exciting.
